Purpose of the position:
As a growing and exciting company who pride themselves on developing excellence, you will be a key part of the company’s business plan. The role of a Marketing/Sales Executive at Redwood Collections Ltd is to proactively contact businesses in the UK to enquire if they need assistance recovering any debts owed to them by their customers.

Contact is primarily via telephone, however from time to time you may be involved in booking clients in for meetings with an Account Manager to discuss more complex cases and network on social media to generate business. Using initiative to follow up leads by telephone and email will be key.

Our sales team regularly attend exhibitions in various different industries and we use these events to develop the experience of our sales staff.

Based on experience, starting salary from £18,000 to £21,000 plus uncapped performance bonus and new staff referral bonus.

Bonus details:
Bonus is paid based on your personal performance each month, relating to new clients secured for the business. There is also a new staff referral bonus for staff you introduce to the company.

Holiday entitlement:
20 days paid holiday per annum

Reporting to:
Sales Manager

Working hours:
Full time, 40.5 hours per week. Mon to Fri 09:00 to 17:30, one evening session per week 17:30 to 19:30, one Saturday morning per month 08:00 to 12:00.

Responsibilities & duties:
Generating sales leads by telephoning prospective clients
•Managing these leads in your own diary
•Maintaining a record of your work
•Meeting personal and team targets

Work experience:
None essential
Desirable - Sales experience of some description.
Desirable - Experience with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications and the Salesforce CRM.

Personal qualities & behavioural traits
Personable and able to communicate well, particularly via telephone.
•Punctual and reliable – the correct candidate can be relied upon not to take unauthorised days off and to arrive at work on time.
•Team player – The correct candidate will be able to express their point of view, contribute to meetings etc without causing friction amongst the harmonious team.
•Attention to detail and care for your work – the correct candidate will have desire to succeed and will be proactive in ensuring their work is managed in an organised and timely manner.

Training Scheme

•Regular training sessions to help support and build confidence
•Listening and learning from managers
•Training manuals provided
•Regular appraisals held with Line Manager & Training Manager
•Working alongside the collections department to help develop key skills

Development Programme

One of the most exciting programmes Redwood offer is, upon successful completion of a three month probation period, an opportunity for a Marketing Executive to progress to Sales Executive. This growth within the company ensures you are then entrusted to grow and build rapport with your own prospects from a specially selected ‘pool’ of high quality leads.

Successful candidates that pass probation and progress to Sale Executives find they are also able to use initiative and work with specialised industries. This is known as project work in which you will be tasked with maximising lead conversion and utilising a vast array of tools to generate large volumes of new clients.
