What has changed?
- Scott & Mears Credit Services Ltd has entered administration
- Redwood Collections has acquired the collection rights for certain accounts
- Responsibility for managing those accounts has transferred to Redwood Collections
What does this mean in practice?
For Clients:
- Your accounts will continue to be managed
- There is no need to resubmit information unless requested
- Existing balances and account histories remain unchanged
- Where clients consent, their accounts will be transferred to Redwood Collections' CRM
For debtors:
- Your account remains active
- Any existing arrangements or balances still apply unless you are contacted
- Payments and communications will now come from Redwood Collections
How the transition is being managed.
The accounts are being moved into Redwood Collections’ existing systems and benefit from our day-to-day processes.
The handover is being overseen step by step to ensure information is transferred accurately and without interruption. This approach is designed to maintain continuity for debtors, ensuring accounts continue to be managed consistently during this process.
Once in place, the accounts are managed in the same way as all other work handled by Redwood Collections, using the same controls and operational standards.
What happens next?
- Relevant parties will be contacted directly if any action is required
- You do not need to take any steps unless contacted
- Timelines and next steps will depend on the individual account
